Class of 2017 Information
Congratulations to the Class of 2017! Commissioning Week begins May 20 with the Class of 2017 Graduation being on May 26. Southwest Florida has ??? in the 2017 graduating class. We are proud of all of our SW Florida Firsties and look forward to see what their future holds.
Midshipman 1st Class Cole Wright, son of Brian and Kay Wright, was offered a “blue chip” for Harpers Ferry-class Dock Landing Ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) our of Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia Beach, Virginia. He took his blue chip–one of only 9 out os 254 SWOs that was offered this year!
It has been said that an education at the Naval Academy can be divided into three equal parts. The first third of your USNA experience is the six weeks of Plebe Summer. The second third is your Plebe Year, and the remaining third is the rest of your stay at the Naval Academy. Here are some important resources for Plebes and their parents.
